Creating the ultimate reality show

Perception — the fine line between the real and the actual. Lawrence Doochin learns to see past his illusions, and strives to help others do the same.

BOOK EXCERPT FROM LAWRENCE DOOCHIN’S NEW RELEASE I AM THEREFORE I AM: FINDING GOD IN OUR HEART — What is the difference between the following statements?  The world is as I see it.  I see the world as it is.

Perception is a fine line, a line that is walked in each moment as we are constantly bombarded with stimuli from the world. Are we seeing what is true and real, or are we simply perceiving through our senses what we think is going on? If you assume that the world is as you see it, then your filters — your experiences, your beliefs, your perceptions, your senses that are unique to your body — are distorting what you see. It is as if you are looking at the world with rose colored glasses.

A holistic prescription to swine flu

From herbs to T-Tapp exercises and cold-laser treatments, the key is boosting your lymphatic system

GUEST COLUMN: VAISHALI — At the end of June, 2009, the U.S. Center for Disease Control estimated that one million Americans had contracted swine flu.  In July, after more than two dozen deaths, Britain’s National Health Service budgeted for a worst-case scenario of 65,000 swine flu *mortalities* in 2009.

What is our holistic prescription to H1N1? Protect, strengthen and support the immune system, the body’s first line of defense. Here’s why.

The best vaccine for Swine Flu

“The next time you pick up a newspaper forecasting the end of the world, remember to laugh.”

GUEST COLUMN: VAISHALI — The only thing more highly contagious than a virus, bacteria, mold spore or free radicals is fear. The panic that arises from imagining oneself succumbing to the dreaded swine flu is a far greater health-threatening condition. It travels much faster and with more drastic consequences than the actual illness itself, leaving its own trail of destruction in its perceptual wake.

Maybe they should change the name of the swine flu from the H1N1 virus to the “CNN#1 Ratings virus panic-demic.” You know, we can’t just sit around waiting for Homeland Security to kill all the free radicals so we can feel safe once again. And now, I heard the pigs are worried about contracting the swine flu from humans!

GUEST COLUMN: PHYLLIS KING — As an incest survivor, I have learned a lot about control and abuse of power.

My life reads like a struggle for survival.  My challenges have included loneliness, betrayal, and rejection by many whom I held most dear.  As I journeyed through these events, I developed strength, courage and love.

Google goes spiritual

Drawing on “Emotional Intelligence” author Daniel Goleman and a recent Oprah guest, Google launches a School of Personal Growth

PAUL KAIHLA — Apple isn’t the only Silicon Valley anchor-tenant that knows how to execute a stealth launch. For Google, though, this one wasn’t about products — and it seems that the world’s largest search engine and online ad agency prefers to keep this news quiet, even post-launch. Last summer with zero fanfare, Google joined the human potential movement. The vehicle: Google University, which is in a building one street down from the main Googleplex in Mountain View.

One of the institution’s four departments: The School of Personal Growth.

Déjà vu: How the spirit reaches out across time and space

The Universe as a Mirror: How Are You Reflected?

A common struggle in all relationships is what psychologists call projection. Here’s how I use nature to identify my projections and heal myself.

BOOK EXCERPT FROM JOHN ENGLISH’S NEW RELEASE THE LITTLE BOOK ON RELATIONSHIP — The universal law of attraction says: Like frequencies attract one another. This law of attraction is always at work in every aspect of our lives. What we are aware of and what we focus on is no exception. The universe is a mirror. Our internal condition is always mirrored back to us by what we create in our lives. This is what comes to us from the universal mirror.

I’m going to give an example of contemplation and the universal mirror.
