My great aunt Edna saved my father’s life when he was born. When my grandmother gave birth, the my father wasn’t breathing. The doctors tried their medicines to no avail. They shook their heads and gave up. Great aunt Edna took my father’s body aside, presumably to start preparing it for a burial, when, all of a sudden, my father let out a wail.
Miracles are hard to prove, but it was certainly pronounced to be one at the time. Maybe great aunt Edna had the “healing touch,” maybe she had an extra ounce of faith. I don’t know. I’m sure glad she was there though.
