Buddhist monk trains to be Army Chaplain
A former Buddhist monk is in training to be the U.S. Army’s first Buddhist chaplain, according to an NBC report. Lieutenant Somya Malasri hopes to minister to the estimated 3,300 Buddhists in the U.S. Army. He will not be schooling them in the Kung Fu ways of the Shaolin though.

It is my firm belief that all officers, both military and civilian should be required to undergo rigorous peace training. I believe that if all of our cops and wardens and soldiers were trained in meditation and other mind trainings, we would see much less abuses of power.
