Spiritual Games from New Media Guru
Ze Frank knows a thing or two about being a guru. He advised millions on how to dance properly and developed a cult-like following for his videoblog, which has just finished its year-long run. Frank is also the author of a handful of religious-themed games. There’s Buddhist, which involves contemplation, death, and reincarnation as a duck; Atheist, which involves a search for truth and a death with no reincarnation; and Christian, which involves making a choice about using the up elevator (heaven) or down elevator (hell). The games present a simplistic representation of various forms of seeking. The classification implies separation between paths, yet the underlying architecture of each game is remarkably similar.
